Intralogic 9 announcement

We are pleased to announce our latest offering, Intralogic 9 for general availability.
Intralogic 9 provides new enterprise features and general improvements giving clients better control over business decisions and processes. Removing the chaos around document management and facilitating access to a company’s knowledge store is critical in today’s businesses. Intralogic is now 8 years old, and has evolved into a powerful business intranet providing ever increasing efficiencies and customer productivity. Intralogic 9 brings structure and order to everything related to information and its access.
Reflecting ideas and suggestions from our client base, Intralogic 9 has taken business intranets into a new space, one where managers require off-the-shelf products that are highly configurable, they don't want to pay endlessly to develop an intranet. This new world brings rich features such as advanced workflow architecture, making it easy when management approval processes are complex and not always clearly defined. Today managers demand that processes are unimpeded even when critical staff are away from their desks. And they want inbuilt security and auditability to allow Company Directors to sleep easy. It is in this space that Intralogic9 has moved.
Intralogic9 is has been subject to a comprehensive usability audit, and we will continue to review usability as a primary development driver in future releases. Our product development philosophy is to expand Intralogic capabilities to meet the needs of our larger growing customers, but at the same time, keeping it simple. With Version 9, you will experience major advancement in usability.

New in Intralogic 9
Major changes made in search algorithms, bringing general performance increases . All bugs reported in Intralogic Version 8 now addressed. 100’s of minor improvements that provide overall efficiency gains and reduced clicks to streamline processes.
Security
Security overhaul to minimise risks of malicious penetrations and script injections. New login security options and better input validations. New messages reduce likelihood of account enumeration.
Total customisation of the end-user desktop
New technology allows user interfaces to be customised by the end-user to suit personal preferences. New drag/drop features means end-users have flexibility in how they organise containers simply by moving and resizing web components to suit their preferences
Usability
General improvements of usability across the board. Streamlining of both administration and end-user functions provide even more intuitive processes. Intralogic9 now includes Google-like predictive filtering on select fields.
Content administration
Creation, editing and removal of content can now be done directly from the content container by content administrators. Drag/drop into news items and announcement re-ordering with point/click now included.
Data loading
A new bulk data loading is streamlined. Users can now just click on a folders on their desktop and the server will load the content including the content of nested folders.
New bulk downloading also included. New options allow single or all documents to be downloaded , zipped or unzipped.
Community Administration Improvements.
Working with communities is now easier. Communities are ‘Virtual Spaces’, that contain individual branding and access, designed to allow businesses to create information silos within the larger organisation, dedicated to a purpose, e.g. a project. New tools make editing and managing community pages easier. Copying (cloning) community pages is now easy. New drag/drop functions for re-organising the community menu replacing single-step processing.
Document Management
New administration icons provide more intuitive actions. New display grid with repositionable columns, bulk downloads with autozipping.
Search
New search algorithms providing up to 8 x performance improvements.
Workflow
All new Workflow module streamlined to provide across-board improvements and new flexibility.
New Workflow administration console consolidates all administration functions, simplifying building , viewing and reporting workflows and workflow steps. Includes new editable grids to enable workflows to be easily edited, and workflow steps to be dragged and dropped for quicker editing. New conditional branching allows workflow steps to be directed by form field value, submitter or approver status. The new GUI allows users to construct complex workflow decisions using simple english teminology, providing clarity and certainty.
New workflow notifications system allows approvals to be accepted or rejected from emails, and from smartphones with email access. Approvers no longer need access to a terminal.
WebDAV compliance.
Intralogic 9 is now WebDAV compliant. WebDAV is an optional feature of IIS7, and allows direct editing of files over the Web. WebDAV compliance is useful when approving documents in a workflow and can streamline the document check-in check-out process.
