Project Communication
The Blueprint Correspondence system is a communication module which allows project team members to communicate under project administration framework. It allows team members to respond to questions, respond to responses, and supports correspondence ‘threads’, or histories of correspondence based on the Project/subject. All this information is stored centrally, properly organized, information is never lost, and access is instantaneous.Correspondence entries are organised by type, where type can be pre-defined within a list, e.g. request for information, variation to contract, transmittal, etc. Or anything the project administrator would like it to be. There are no limits to what correspondence can contain.
Correspondence is separate to your email system, and both can work together in Blueprint. Like emails, correspondence items are sent, can be replied to, forwarded to others, cc’d and bcc’d, and have external documents attached. The content of correspondence is indexed and searchable as with other project documents. Unlike emails, the correspondence module provides a structured approach to your project communications, requiring no end-user discipline to make sure full records are kept. No information is physically sent (it resides within the server’s database management system and viewable from your home page), is easy to use, and ensures all information about the project stays with the project. Email notification can be sent to all recipients of correspondence containing the subject of the correspondence.
